I used to talk with some colleagues about whattheir biggest challenge on learning English is. Usually their answers lie on theirpoor vocabulary. Actually vocabulary is indeed an important factor in order toget a good master of English， but it is not the most important one. Currently the most significantspirit you need to gain is to have the courage to speak English out, ratherthan to be embarrassed or even be feared.
Under the purpose of broadening everyone’s vocabularyas well as assisting with their National Professional Competence English Test,the latest English Corner, which was held on March 4th 2016, focusedon improving their basic English ability. At first they had a revision togetheron the words they had studied last Friday. Todd Liu helped them review themeaning and the pronunciation of each word. Then they had a vocabulary test asa warming up for learning the new words. Altogether they learnt more than 40new words in less than an hour.
LearningEnglish never can be a crash course, but single spark can start a prairie fire.Every little effort will make sense. HDSC English Corner is really a nice placefor you to lay a solid foundation of English, because we are just starting fromlearning words. With everyone’s effort and pay, I do believe HDSC internationaltrade’s tomorrow will be another day.

我曾經(jīng)常常與同事們討論大家學(xué)習(xí)英語時最大的挑戰(zhàn)是什么，通常他們的答案是他們的詞匯量太差了。實際上，詞匯的確是英語學(xué)習(xí)的一個重要因子，但是并不是最重要的一點。現(xiàn)在最重要的是有勇氣敢說英語，而不是感到害羞甚至害怕。
在拓寬大家詞匯量和幫助大家職稱英語考試的宗旨下，3月4日的英語角重點幫助他們提升基礎(chǔ)英語能力。首先他們回顧了上周五學(xué)習(xí)的單詞，劉濤幫助大家回顧了每個單詞的含義和正確發(fā)音。然后他們進行了一個詞匯測試，作為學(xué)習(xí)新單詞的熱身。這次他們在不到一個小時的時間里學(xué)習(xí)了四十多個新單詞。
學(xué)習(xí)英語不是速成課程，但是星星之火可以燎原。每一點小的努力都會有意義。華電測控英語角是學(xué)習(xí)英語的好地方，因為我們正從最基礎(chǔ)的詞匯學(xué)習(xí)起。相信在大家的共同努力和付出下，華電測控外貿(mào)事業(yè)的明天會更美好！
